Soon Everyone: WHY? Collecting single strands of hair from celebrities by their fans, and locks of hair from loved-ones, as a personal way of feeling attached and close symbolically was once a common practice before easier to obtain autographs took over celebrity fan's interest. Now it's ‘selfies’ and pics on our phones that substitutes that feeling of connection. However in the last few years the number of serious hair collectors in the world has skyrocketed from about 150 to over 2,000. Why? Well, the interest seems to be linked to the amazing recent breakthroughs in DNA cloning research, and from the movies. As a result more and more people are trying to collect hair samples [some off hairdresser’s and barber’s floors ] in the vague idea that they can clone themselves a celebrity - or two - or three someday or maybe to make themselves some cash by selling the cut hair to celeb followers. Don’t laugh ! there’s every indication would-be cloners could be onto a ‘good-thing’ before everyone else, especially if the hair sample is from someone really famous : for instance a guaranteed ½ inch piece of Elvis’s hair will set you back over a grand. That may be all very well for celebrity fans but what about collecting hair that won’t cost you anything - from say: Brave men and women from the armed forces, firemen, police, paramedics, sporting hero's etc. Have fun collecting a few hairs from each of your Casual lovers !
